"Help Me, Rhonda is a fun, delightful, quick read. The chemistry shared between Kailey and Scott was sweet. It wasn't about just sex but about making love. I like that Scott saw Kailey for who she was: a smart, pretty woman. He didn't care what others thought. I loved Kailey. She had this innocence about her that you couldn't help but fall in love with her. I read this book in one sitting. Help Me, Rhonda helped me discover a new author in Vivian Vincent. I plan to check out more books by Ms. Vincent." -Cheryl, Manic Readers Review, 4.5/5 STARS

"The chemistry between them is hot. Ms. Vincent did a great job in showing these characters that with magic, love can extend to something beautiful and precious." -Melinda, Night Owl Reviews, 4.5/5 Stars! Night Owl Reviews Top Pick!

Scott sat in shock as he watched Kailey quickly head down the hall to Jeremy's room. When he looked up at her after he'd finished the problem in the book, he was close enough to kiss her. He could have leaned in and pressed his lips to hers without even a second thought. She must have realized it too because she took off like a cat with its tail on fire.

I was gonna kiss Kailey! What the hell was I thinking?

He had to admit to himself he was attracted to her and it scared the shit out of him. He wondered what his friends would say if he and Kailey started dating. Then he wondered why he even cared. He could date whomever he wanted and didn't have to ask anyone's permission.

But Kailey Hamilton?

Okay, so the idea was ludicrous. Shaking his head to clear himself of the thought, he watched as Kailey slowly made her way back to the dining room table. She sat across from him this time, making sure to keep plenty of distance between them. Without glancing up at him, she thumbed through the book and found another problem for him to solve.

She handed him the book and watched as he looked it over then began to work it out on the paper. Scott glanced up from what he was doing every now and then to see Kailey sitting there staring at him. She looked like she was off in her own little world. A strand of hair had come loose from her ponytail and without thinking, Scott reached out and tucked it behind her ear.

Touching her skin was like nothing he'd ever felt before. Tiny jolts of electricity shot up his arm and through his body. He pulled his hand away quickly as if he'd been burned and watched as Kailey's cheeks turned an interesting shade of pink. His hands were shaking when he finally finished the problem and handed her the paper and this time it was him who needed to put a bit of distance between them.

"You want another Coke?" Scott asked when he walked into the kitchen.

Kailey didn't answer him, instead she just stared at the paper he'd put in front of her and felt a pleasant tingling sensation where he'd touched her.

What the hell's happening to me?

"Kay?" Scott asked from the doorway.

"Um--what?"

"I asked if you wanted another Coke."

"Oh, yes, please," she said, finally snapping out of her trance and picking up the paper in front of her.

Scott returned to the table and handed her the Coke while he watched her go over his work. He wasn't so sure he'd gotten this one right and Kailey's expression was unreadable. After what seemed like an hour, but was only a few minutes, she laid the paper down and took her glasses off. She rubbed the spot on her nose where her glasses rested then looked up at him.

He felt his breath catch in his throat when he gazed into her eyes without her glasses. They were an unusual color, not quite brown, but not quite green either. He couldn't even really consider them hazel, but one thing he did know, they were the most beautiful eyes he'd ever seen in his life. He couldn't tear his eyes away from hers until she finally looked away and began to speak.

"Okay, you got this one only partially right, Scott." Her voice was shaky and she tried desperately to control her rapidly beating heart. What the hell just happened? she wondered again.

"Which part?" He forced himself to focus on Calculus and not on pulling her into his arms and kissing her senseless. It's Kailey Hamilton for Christ sakes! he scolded himself.

"This part right here," she pointed to a spot on the paper.

"I can't read it sideways, why don't you come back over here?" Scott replied.

Kailey slid the paper across to him then slowly made her way around the table to sit beside him again. She pointed to the parts he got wrong on the paper, put her glasses back on, then flipped the page over and began working out the problem on her own.

When she looked up again, Scott was just inches away from her. He reached up, pulled off her glasses and set them down on the table. He tucked another strand of hair behind her ear, then closed the gap between them and brushed his lips gently against hers.

Kailey froze on the spot. She'd never been kissed by a boy before and here was the most popular guy in school pressing his lips to hers and running his tongue along the corners of her mouth. She'd read enough women's magazines to know how to kiss, but had never actually done it. She opened her mouth to allow him access and whimpered low in her throat when his tongue snaked into her mouth.

Scott broke the kiss and rested his forehead against hers. "Kailey Hamilton," he whispered.

She quickly jumped to her feet then ran to the guest room and locked the door. She slid down the length and rested her head on her knees. She just got kissed senseless by the captain of the football team and then ran away.

God, I'm the biggest nerd on the planet! she thought and felt tears stream down her cheeks.
