The Impersonator
by Shawn Lane
Category: Erotica/Gay-Lesbian Erotica/Gay Fiction
Description: After being dumped by his boyfriend, Benjamin Pomeroy has hot club sex with a gorgeous new employee at the same Las Vegas hotel where Ben works as an Elvis impersonator. And shortly thereafter, Ben abruptly loses his job when the new CEO, Maxwell Orton, decides that Elvis no longer fits the hotel's image. Facing the grueling prospect of locating a steady job, Ben needs extra cash to tide himself over. To help the situation, Ben's brother Phillip, also employed at the hotel, offers him a paying proposition--swap identities with Phillip at a masquerade ball being given by Maxwell Orton for the hotel's higher echelon employees. Attendance is mandatory, but Phillip has made other important plans that he refuses to cancel. To Ben, the idea of switching places with his brother seems preposterous, yet harmless enough. Besides, it's easy money, right? And after all, he'll be wearing a mask the entire time, so no one will learn of the deception. But the masquerade doesn't go as planned when Ben discovers, to his complete shock, that Maxwell is actually the sexy hotel employee whom he entertained privately at the local gay club... "...This was an interesting short for me, mainly because the characters are so flawed in many ways and yet I still liked them a great deal. Ben is the third person narrator and is a very engaging man. A nice sexy story about making the wrong choices and living up to the consequences of that. The writing, as with all Shawn Lane books, is clear and descriptive and she effectively drew me into Ben's problems with a light, deft touch."--Jenre, Brief Encounters Reviews
"...A pleasing novella. The location, in and around Las Vegas's hotels and casinos, was effective. I got a good sense of urban show business, slightly seedy, hot and hungry--Vegas style. Will I read it again?...yes, I will be spending more time with Ben. Shawn Lane is clearly an experienced writer within this genre and has a strong following that I am sure they will enjoy this."--Raine, Reviews By Jessewave "4 Stars!...Highly engaging and entertaining. A well-written novella with a refreshing plot. The Las Vegas setting is interesting, and the reader gets an enjoyable glimpse of life in Sin City. A fun and rather light-hearted read. Ben and Trey are truly delightful characters with just enough flaws to make them believable and real. The sex scenes are deliciously hot and steamy. I highly recommend this charming romance."--K. B., Dark Diva Reviews "4 Hearts!...Picking up a Shawn Lane story is always a good idea. Unique plot lines and likeable characters are a standard. The unpredictability of the plot leaves a reader steadily reading right to the end."--Angel, The Romance Studio

Ben downed his drink and offered his hand to Trey, who took it and pulled him toward the dance floor. Ben recognized the popular dance tune blaring from the direction of the club's DJ.
It wasn't long before they joined the other dancers in fairly sexually explicit gyrations to the music. Trey had turned him around so that his ass was lined up with Trey's crotch and, with his hands gripping Ben's hips, the man humped against him. There was no mistaking the rigid cock rubbing along the crease of his ass. Ben's own cock rose painfully hard, pressing against the zipper of his pants.
Trey looped his arms around Ben's middle and leaned down to growl in Ben's ear, "God, I want to fuck this ass."
How could Ben fight that? He couldn't. A ragged moan escaping his lips, Ben leaned back. "Bathroom. Now."
Ben almost tripped over the bodies littering the dance floor as well as his own two feet in his haste to head across the club to the men's room. He'd had trysts there before. In fact, he'd actually met his ex at the Pink Oasis.
Trey's hand was on his ass, steering him through the crowd. He hoped the man had thought to bring a condom and lube since Ben hadn't set out to come here tonight. It seemed to take forever to finally reach the door to the men's room. Chances were pretty good there'd be other action going on inside, but as long as one empty stall remained vacant for him and Trey, that was all he cared about.
Ben pushed open the door and quickly noted they'd lucked out. The room was empty. Trey pushed him toward the first available stall.
"Somebody's horny," Ben joked.
"Damn straight. Get your ass in there."
