Can I transfer the eBooks I previously bought from Gemstar to the eBookwise-1150?
No, those ebooks are encrypted and are housed on the Gemstar servers. eBookwise.com is not associated with Gemstar eBook Group Limited. So your encrypted Gemstar eBooks cannot be transferred. Please continue to read those prior purchases on your 1100 or Rocket eBook device.

However, if you have unencrypted content that you obtained from other sources, and you have used the Personal Content Server or other similar methods to transfer them to your Gemstar device, you should be able to transfer those to your eBookwise-1150. How does the eBookwise-1150 differ from the GEB 1100 or Rocket eBook?
The eBookwise-1150 is very similar physical hardware as the GEB 1100, so items like screen quality, battery life, use of SmartMedia cards for extended memory, and other physical attributes are very similar to that device. The eBookwise-1150 firmware is equivalent to the REB 1150. This means that the device supports greyscale rather than just monochrome, and has other enhancements. However, it does not offer as many font choices (two zoom states are available per book) and lacks landscape orientation as a viewing option.

Due to legal and regulatory restrictions, this device cannot legally be shipped outside the USA or Canada. There is no legal source for these devices outside the USA or Canada.

Can the eBookwise-1150 display Cyrillic or Asian characters?

Can I upload my own fonts to the eBookwise-1150?
No. Like the REB 1150, this feature is not available on the eBookwise-1150.
