At the top of the stairs there was a wooden door. Dathan put one hand on the handle and turned to Rosa as if to caution her to be quiet. But he held up his other hand instead, broke the crystal he was carrying, and blew the powdery contents straight into her face.

Rosa, tears streaming down her face, fought down the desire to cough, but it was a moment before she had control of herself again. Even through her chain mail, she could feel Judith's hand gripping her shoulder, holding her up. When she could breathe again, she looked up that Dathan.

He looked handsome and desirable, almost as if there were a soft golden glow around him. Rosa might it not have been the best student in her magic class, but it wasn't hard to figure out that when someone you had disliked for years suddenly looked good to you, there was magic involved. And from what I remember of love spells, when this wears off I'm really going to despise you, she thought.
