"This is an exciting medical thriller that will grip the audience rather quickly because fans will believe the hospital, the staff, and the patients are real, which in turn adds depth to the pressure Lynn faces. Readers will wonder if the heroine is losing her mind yet admire her courage as she deals with the crisis. Nick is also a caring character sort, reminiscent of Ben Casey. Medicine, mystery, and mysticism mix quite nicely in Jane Toombs strong romantic suspense thriller."--Harriet Klausner, Reviewer
"Dangerous Medicine is an exciting glimpse into the real-life hospital drama and the daily care of patients with life and death issues. The plot, like the hospital, has many different rooms in which the reader is taken. The intrigue unfolds gradually and the reader is teased with small hints of mystery and then totally immersed when the details accumulate through the quick-paced events. Despite their obstacles, a building passion flows between the doctor and the nurse and we wonder if there ever can be a peaceful future for them. An exciting tension-filled romance which will keep you guessing until the end!"--Nancy Golas-Flinn Ludwin, Tregolwyn Book Reviews

"What the hell do you see in the man?" he burst out. Lynn blinked. "What man?" "You know who I mean. That bastard Werth." "Conrad? I really don't understand." "Cut the crap. It's obvious what's between you. Why else did he bring you here from Boston to be his spy?" She gaped at him. After a moment she unbuckled her seat belt, opened the door and slid out. He slammed out of the car, caught her by the arm and swung her around to face him. "You're not going anywhere until I get an answer," he snarled. "I have nothing to say to you." Ice clung to each word. He gripped her shoulders, past reason. "You're damn well going to answer me." The street light showed him the anger smoldering in her eyes and the stubborn set of her chin. "Let me go!" she cried, struggling to free herself. Without knowing he meant to, Nick yanked her toward him, his hands sliding from her shoulders to hold her body tight against his. His mouth covered hers in a savage kiss. She yielded limply for an instant, then began to fight. Trapped by his violent arousal from the feel of her, he was oblivious.
