I am for you. Release me. "You definitely should've left the wine alone tonight," he told himself. Muttering a curse, Max adjusted his erection behind his zipper as he stood. The words would haunt him until he at least tried to see what needed to be tweaked. The marble was no longer cool to his touch. Warmth seemed to pulse through it. He ran his hands over every surface, trying to find something to fix. Over her back, down to her ass, further down her legs to her beautiful feet. Up her legs and thighs, over her hips, and ... he paused at her breasts. The nipples thrust through the strands of hair. He would have sworn he'd hidden them behind it. On impulse he rubbed his palm over them. A gasp parted the statue's lips. Wide-eyed and frozen in place, Max watched a woman part from the statue. Her arms wrapped around him. Hot lips brushed his. A wet tongue traced the outline. "I am for you. Love me," she whispered, then sealed her lips over his. Max blamed the wine, then blamed his obsession with her. He'd gone off the deep end. But if this was insanity, he was all for it. He expected a bark from Coco, but she was happily ensconced on her pillow, apparently sound asleep. Max didn't know if the woman was real or a figment of his imagination. And at that point, he didn't care.
