A Cat on a Hot Tin Roof
by Astrid Cooper

Category: Erotica/Gay-Lesbian Erotica/Fantasy
Description: Kellyn, a lynx shifter, has survived a terrible battle. Horribly disfigured, he arrives on a property in outback South Australia, his memory shattered, along with his beauty. All he knows is that the world on which he is trapped is not safe. He must hide from all humans--except one. Alexander, an artist recluse, has no time for most people, which is probably just as well, because the guy he rescues isn't exactly human. Both men deny their immediate, mutual attraction. Alex doesn't want his heart broken again and Kel believes he has nothing to offer--he's just a cat with a scarred mind and body. But a cat has no chance when a human gets under his fur and when Alex tangles with a cat, it's love at first lick.

The cat-man held Alex's wrist and tugged. "Friend-of-mine, disvan-sal?" he whispered.

What the hell did that mean? "Yes," Alex said.

The tug grew more insistent. Alex knelt on the bed and he was pulled face first onto the mattress, the cat-man leaning into him, his hands roaming down his spine. Lower. Alex felt the cat-man's heat, his trembling. He kissed Alex's nape, lathering it with a tongue and a tender bite.

Right. He needed to stop this, but the hands, the fingers, the tongue ... Christ. He groaned and buried his face in the pillow, smelling his own scent, the cat's.

With a gentle tug of his fingers, the cat turned Alex's head and leant over him, all heated muscle, softness amid the unyielding strength. He took Alex's mouth in a kiss that short-circuited his resistance. He'd never been kissed like that. It was intense, as if all the cat-man's attention was focused on Alex, as if nothing in the universe mattered except Alex and his mouth, their kiss. The tongue danced with his, stroking. The mouth sucked. They both groaned. The kiss deepened.

His shorts were tugged down, his legs parted. The heavy warmth of the cat-man spread him wider as he settled between his thighs. I should stop this ... I ought to, but hell, I can't. No matter what. Want this ... so bad.
