The tide crashed against the rocks along the edge of the lighthouse. Rochelle Sanders walked along the edge of the water with sandals in hand as the sand squished between her toes. The moon was full and shimmered off the water. Her beach house was on the secluded end of the beach with no houses around for miles. It was exactly what she needed to start over.
As the cool air blew, Rochelle walked up the steps to her house. Unpacked boxes filled the front room. Life had not happened exactly the way she had planned but she assumed that it never really worked as planned for anyone.
After hours of unpacking boxes; she was now completely exhausted. She walked into the kitchen to get a nice big glass of sweet ice tea. As she was dropping the ice cubes into the glass a glimpse of something outside caught her attention. I must be tired. She thought but I could have sworn I saw somebody, but nobody would be out here. This is private property. Okay now I'm going crazy. I'm talking to myself.
Rochelle grabbed the blue dish towel lying on the counter and wiped her hands before walking out the door to find out why this person was on her newly purchased land.
She walked up to the very attractive tall, dark haired, muscular man, who looked maybe thirty, standing there in what she would call surfer shorts.
"Excuse me; can I help you with something?" Rochelle quickly looked around to see if anyone was with him. "I just bought this beach house last week so if you are looking for the previous owners I'm not sure where they are."
"Are you talking to me?" The man looked around behind him with a confused look on his face. She can't be talking to me. He thought to himself as he ran his hand through his hair nervously.
