A MOST INTERESTING VOYAGE
Few now live who remember these tales so pen must be set to page...
In the winter of the Christian Year of 1220 the Sea of Antilia was relatively calm and passive once again after late summer and autumn had seen that sea turbulent with storms and hurricanes. The Sea of Antilia stretched west and south of the island nation of Antilia that had given the vast, warm sea its name and that wide body of water was bordered north and east by island chains and south and west by vast, mostly unexplored mainlands. The sea itself however had been widely explored and colonized by the merchants and explorers of Antilia and also by the Norse of Westgarde who had reunited Antilia with the rest of the world over a hundred years before.
In more recent years Norse from Westgarde and beyond had come to the Sea of Antilia with more than trade and exploration in mind and those Norse pirates had ravaged the sea and surrounding regions in the Pirate Wars that had ended a decade before. The Norse pirates had ultimately been defeated in those wars yet they had not been driven from the Sea of Antilia and a confederation of such pirates had seized control of the Anitilian colony of Jamaka. That confederationof Norse pirates controlled the island of Jamaka to the present day and known as the Jamaka Pirates were a scourge that until recently had been contained by treaty.
Earlier that same year the Jamaka Pirates had made an alliance with the Roman Church to attempt a conquest of Antilia and in doing so had broken that treaty. However the alliance of the pirates and Church had been defeated when their siege of Antilia's capital of Aira had been ended in devastating fashion by forces from the Jarldoms of Stoneshoreland and Freyrland led by the grandson of the Jarl of Stoneshoreland, the Jarl of Freyrland and the Princess of the Triple Realm. Nominally under the command of Carine Ariansdaughter, Princess of the Triple Realm the relief force had used might and magic to destroy the pirates and crusaders nearly to the last man.
Now after waiting out the storm season in the safe harbor of Aira and spending that time training the alliance of Antilia, Stoneshoreland and Freyrland had sent an expedition south and west across the sea to the island of Jamaka. The purpose of that expedition was to deal with the closer threat of a renewedly hostile Jamaka before heading across the Atlantic to aid the Triple Realm against the Roman Church. Which was why in late winter of the Christian Year of 1220 thirty-one Westgarde great knorrs carried fifteen hundred warriors westward across the waves of the Sea of Antilia toward the island of Jamaka traveling upon a magically generated wind.
That magical wind had been conjured and was controlled by Carine Ariansdaughter, Princess of the Triple Realm and one of the leaders of that expedition. Still several years short of twenty, the just barely grown girl was a burgeoning sorceress of great power whose mother's otherfolk blood gave both great magical ability and great beauty.
Standing only two inches below six feet Carine was an ethereally beautiful girl whose golden hair tumbled in waves to her bare rump and whose divine face was centered around dark lash framed green eyes. Her formally pale skin had been browned by the tropical sun she had spent the last months beneath. So her slender and youthful yet shapely body that was all long slender legs, shapely round hips, tiny waist and just full firm pink nippled breasts glowed a golden brown as she stood nude upon the aft castle of the great knorr Odin's Wind with her own magical wind blowing her golden tresses.
Well she was nude save for the slim silver rune worked enchanted collar around her slender neck that had been placed there by the Sorceress of the Misted Isle the year before. That had been when the young princess had been captured by the sorceress Mengia and her minions and enslaved for several months before Gadifriald Lokkasson and the wizard Fym had rescued her. Though they had rescued Cari from slavery the enchanted slave collar could not be removed and had become as much a part of the willful princess as her iron will, keen intelligence and wild carnal otherfolk nature that slavery had released.
So Cari did not mind and in fact luxuriated in the desirous and lustful gazes of the captain and helmsmen of Odin's Wind as she stood on the aft castle wearing only the mark of her eternal slavery. For though Carine Ariansdaughter was the Princess of the Triple Realm and would someday rule as its Queen and was a powerful young sorceress she would always be a slave as well. Which it was luxuriating in being the secret slave of Gadifriald Lokkasson that had the blonde girl wearing only that mystical collar as she used words of power and mystical symbols drawn in the air with her slender, long nail tipped fingers to work the elemental magic that controlled the mystical wind that carried what was essentially her fleet to Jamaka that still lay over the horizon.
During the weeks long voyage from Aira in Antilia the princess had spent her days and nights as Gadifriald's willing and eager slave and had not bothered to don more than her collar since Odin's Wind had sailed. It had been a rather pleasant voyage for Cari and would have been an even more pleasant one if Rosallia Sertorious and the slavegirl Ammy had not also been along. Cari knew that she could not have a man like Gadi all to herself yet it did rankle to be on a ship with two other very beautiful girls who also drew her lover and master's attention.
Which thoughts of especially Rosallia Sertorious put a frown upon the blonde girl's lips for Rosa was Gadi's betrothed and it still rather rankled her that her lover was destined to marry another. Still there was nothing to be gained by letting that fact derail her relationship with the man she loved and so Cari had done her best on the voyage to be a better lover than Rosa and a better slave than Ammy. Which to her satisfaction, the princess was fairly sure that she had succeeded on both counts.
