"...I found both protagonists likable and interesting. Their relationship, evolving from best friends to lovers, was interesting and I was engaged throughout in their romance. The supporting characters are also nice and added depth to the story. Although the main focus of the story is Stephan and Rocky's relationship the author did a good job of including the others into the storyline which made the book well-rounded and entertaining. T. A. Chase can always be counted to write interesting characters and...I did enjoy the story. There is a lot of angst in the first half, some lighter moments later on, hot sex and sweet moments as well."--Lily, Reviews By Jessewave
"...A smooth-flowing best-friends-become-lovers story with an unexpected but nicely integrated paranormal twist. Stephen's grief is, at least for a time, debilitating and the author did a nice job expressing his deep emotional paralysis and an equally good job with Rocky's reaction to his old friend's pain..."--Dragon Minx, Literary Nymphs Reviews
"4.5 Hearts!...T. A. Chase really knows how to craft an opening that will capture readers' attention and suck them into the story. Though Stephan's grief is the driving force at the beginning of the story, Rocky's actions in the face of that grief highlight not only the type of person he is but also the depth of his love for Stephan...The secondary characters really add depth to the story...A very touching story."--Karin, The Romance Studio
"A Recommended Read!...5 Angels!...An incredible story about life, friendship, and love...This is one story that I will never forget and it will stay in my favorites list."--Teresa, Fallen Angel Reviews
For a brief second, anger swirled in Rocky's heart. Why did Jeremy have to die now? He gave himself a mental shake. He doubted Jeremy had planned to die any time soon.
Stephan curled into him, his tears mingling with the sweat soaking Rocky's T-shirt. A shiver wracked Stephan, and Rocky made a decision.
"Amy, go out and send Bill in here. Tell Stone to get the limo. I'm taking Stephan to the hotel. Gather the guys; tell them to keep their phones on. As soon as I get Stephan settled, I'll call and we'll meet to talk about this." He pinned their manager with a steely gaze. "You get on the phone and find out what happened. I want to know every thing when we meet up again."
Amy nodded and brushed her hand over Stephan's damp curls before leaving.
Ignoring the muttering of the crowd gathered outside the room, Rocky held Stephan close and murmured, "I'm here. Just hold on a little longer. We'll go to the hotel and you can let go."
"I loved him," Stephan whispered, his grief evident in the harshness of his voice.
He knew exactly the kind of love Stephan spoke about. It was the same love Rocky had always felt for Stephan, and the knowledge broke his heart.
