A Rock's Perspective
When will you be silent?
I lie here all day
Everyday,
Waiting.
While you step on me and kick me
I am waiting.
Sometimes it comes so close.
I think that the voices are dying.
I gather myself together
Preparing to burst out in song,
But then the clamor rises again.
All this noise is so frustrating.
My whole inner being yearns to cry out.
But until you shut up,
I will remain silent.
