Nicholas Eugene Spanekopolas had taken the final action in salvaging the motel his Aunt Eugenia had left him by posting the ad online and e-mailing it to friends and acquaintances he knew would be interested. Word of mouth was always the best advertising. He'd nearly sold the albatross until he'd had a brainstorm about launching an anonymous sexual fantasy getaway.

The idea hit him when he'd seen a woman he dubbed The Snow Princess walking down a street in New York. Tall, slender, Nordic blond hair, pale skin. A perfect foil for his Mediterranean heritage. The minute he saw her, he wanted to bury himself in her until his brains were mush. Unfortunately, there was no way to get it on with a stranger. You had to go through all the dating ritual, foreplay bullshit. All he wanted was a whole lot of bootie. Nothing lasting. Just a good lay.

Now, he could provide that service to anyone who wanted to pay. The motel was located down a side road in the middle of nowhere, in the foothills of the White Mountains in western Maine on the outskirts of Wallaceton, population two thousand. It was the perfect, secluded location for sexcapades.

What the original owner had been thinking when he'd built it, Nick didn't have a clue. His aunt had worked miracles to keep it going all the years she'd owned it. He had fond memories of running wild when he'd spent summers with her. Now, thanks to him, fellow hedonists could fulfill their wildest sexual fantasies.

Nick had done extensive renovations, sometimes combining two or three rooms in order to provide adequate space for the various themes he'd chosen. He took a tour before signing off on the final paperwork. His favorite rooms were based on special lovers from his past.

Entering the H.M.S. Barbary Coast, he knew this room would provide the perfect setting for kidnapping fantasies. He remembered the summer after his first year in college, he'd worked as crew on a windjammer in the Caribbean. Kaela, the cook, had seduced him and introduced him to long, slow lovemaking. That was when he learned how to pleasure a woman. He made sure a lighter was on the table before leaving.
