Driven To Distraction
by Anah Crow, Dianne Fox

Category: Erotica/Multicultural-Interracial Erotica/Gay Fiction
Description: Jess Leonard has his hands full as a single dad and the owner of a small but busy garage. He doesn't have room in his schedule for a deep breath, much less a date. When Benaiah Day bangs up the underside of his '66 Jaguar, Jess heads out to do the fix-up work--and finds himself invited in for dinner and more.

Ben fits perfectly into the tiny bit of time Jess calls his own. Both of them are marveling at their good luck when Jess's dad inadvertently drives a wedge between them. Dating a black man when your dad isn't shy about his Southern pride--preferably with the biggest Confederate flag he can find--is a heck of a recipe for relationship issues, and that's before Jess trips over the baggage--an obnoxious ex--that Ben can't seem to lose.

In spite of the mess, Jess and Ben drive each other crazy in the very best way, and they're both dreaming of the same destination--love that lasts. Can they find a way around the obstacles that could keep them from getting there together?

NOTE: Don't miss the sequel, Going The Distance!

"4.5 Nymphs!...Takes us to a small town where we encounter Ben and Jess. The men don't have to wonder if they are sexually compatible. That is more than evident every time they are within a foot of one another. But their different backgrounds, occupations and race could have become factors in putting a damper on their budding relationship. Anah Crow & Dianne Fox not only added elements in the story around these issues but were able to find resolution to them before they caused the couple too much heartache...A wonderful read. The characters have great chemistry, which made Driven To Distraction flow effortlessly. It's a wonderful addition to the Working Stiffs series."--Scandalous Minx, Literary Nymphs Reviews

"...An enjoyable opposites-attract story about a mechanic and a car-challenged professor. I liked this latest release from the writing duo of Anah Crow and Dianne Fox. It's a nicely written book and the protagonists are likable and interesting...An easy, feel-good story with a definite HFN ending that shows the promise of more."--Lily, Reviews By Jessewave

"A Joyfully Recommended Read!...A sleek read with tons of power under the hood. I enjoy stories about men who are comfortable loving men and who bring an unmistakable level of experience to the bedroom. Anah Crow and Dianne Fox deliver that in spades. This book has more steamy romance than you can shake a gearshift at...It's also got a quick pace, engaging and memorable supporting characters, and two terrific leads in Ben and Jess...One element that anchors the realism is the strong, persistent southern voice of the writing--not just in the dialogue, but in the narrative itself. As a lifelong southerner, once I got over the initial surprise, I found it as soothing and familiar as a cool glass of sweet tea on a hot summer night. If you have a taste for love with a southern accent, buckle up for Driven To Distraction and get ready for a sweet ride."--Val, Joyfully Reviewed

"You wouldn't mind me calling you for advice once in a while? I'd hate to let his cars fall apart. I won't do that again." Ben pointed at the Jag. "I bet you wouldn't have done that."

"Maybe not." Jess felt like shit, getting a good look at the guilt on Ben's face. "But I tell you, you shouldn't feel so bad about it. Reason your grampa needed that headlight last year was 'cause he ran it into one of those big cement beams when he was parking it in the structure down on Seventh. He loved the cars, doesn't mean he didn't bang 'em up now and then."

"Good to know." Ben gave him a little smile. "I won't let myself feel too bad about it, then." The way Ben was looking at him now, Jess figured maybe Al's parking problem wasn't the reason for that.

"You shouldn't." Jess looked Ben over, letting his gaze take in the long legs and long fingers and dark eyes and everything in between. "And you can sure call me anytime you got a need."

"So, what do you think I should do if you're already here?" Ben answered his own question by pushing away from the car, leaning in to catch Jess's mouth with a kiss.

Now, see, that was Jess's idea of dessert. He got his hands on Ben's hips and pulled him closer between his legs, then angled his mouth to open up for a deeper kiss. Delicious. Ben made this soft, contented noise and cupped Jess's cheek with one hand, sliding the other around to the small of Jess's back and under his shirt. He kissed Jess deeper, just the way Jess was wanting, and leaned his body into Jess.

Jess sent up a prayer of thanks that the 'Vette was a sturdy car and got both hands on Ben's ass--a damn fine ass, Jess thought--through his thin slacks. His own jeans were getting pretty damn tight right about now and he wondered if it was too soon to go ahead and strip them open.
