Description: The plan is simple: Save the world, erase your own existence. Thrown thirty-five years into the past, Derry and Taylor Brandon have the chance to alter the events that ended humanity. Easy, right? All they have to do is track down a father that hasn't conceived them yet and convince him of who they are and that he has a hand in destroying the world. Then they'll be able to fight the man who has tormented them in their own time--and now in the past--and confront and conquer their personal demons along the way. Piece of cake.

Derry Brandon knew they would take him. He also knew he would rather die than let that happen again. His lungs burned, and muscles cramped as he pushed them past the point of endurance. Stopping was not an option.
He knew they were close. He could hear harsh ragged breathing and the slap of feet running behind him. Adrenaline flooded through him as he skidded down the hill and kicked up speed. Uneven ground made footing uncertain and he slipped, nearly losing his balance, going down on one knee. He registered pain in one ankle, but pushed to his feet, refusing to let it slow him. Nothing mattered but putting more distance between them and him. His injured ankle gave under his weight after slamming it into a rock he failed to see. The sudden pain and repeat assault were finally too much for him. He remembered the last time they had taken him, the pain in his leg was nothing compared to what they would do to him. No way they were taking him again, at least not alive, not if he could help it.
