Marry Christmas, Baby
by Jane Kent

Category: Erotica/Romance
Description: When Jack and Siobhan divorced, the truth was, neither really wanted it. But anger, misunderstandings and the inability to communicate with each other, despite more than ten years of marriage, spun things out of control and the divorce happened anyway.

Neither, however, has moved on, though four years have passed.

Now fate and circumstance have conspired to re-unite them as they help arrange the last-minute Christmas wedding of friends.

The fade of icy indifference with which they have been dealing with each other while sharing custody of their children begins to crack. When the two of them end up accidentally locked in a wine cellar, it finally breaks wide open, melting the ice and turning it into steam heat.

But, with wedding fever and Christmas magic in the air--and a little help from a couple of four-legged elves--Jack and Siobhan may just find out that sexual chemistry may not be all that is still between them.

"Hey, Red, wanna move it?" he'd said.

"Hey, jerk, wanna get some manners?" she'd snapped right back. "And don't call me Red."

Then she'd stood and turned, fire in her stunning amber eyes, her mouth open to tell him off some more, but nothing had come out. Her eyes had gone all big and round and she'd stood there staring at him with her mouth agape.

And that had been it. He'd been a goner.

Siobhan wasn't awe-inspiringly, classically, stop-traffic-beautiful, not like Skye was, but to Jack, she'd been the most beautiful girl in the world and the only one for him.

And it had only taken him four lonely, celibate and memory-filled years to figure out she likely always would be.

God, he was pathetic.

Here he was surrounded by happy, beautiful women--and men too, for that matter, should he ever choose to swing that way--sending him flirtatious glances and what was he doing? Standing here like an idiot, lusting after a woman who had made it more than clear she didn't want him and who, on a normal day, would have crossed the street to avoid him, that's what!

"If you keep staring with that moony-eyed, fierce concentration, your face might just stay that way. Or so my mother used to tell me. Of course, I was only about eight at the time, and I seriously doubt that whatever face I was making had anything to do with what's got you so entranced. But I can see the attraction. The lady's a looker. And she's got a first-rate ass," an amused male voice remarked from behind him.

Jack had stiffened with the first words and now he spun around, on the verge of exploding, to glare at the man who'd dared to comment on his wife's ass.

Because that's how he still thought of Siobhan, as his wife, never his ex-wife, though he referred to her that way to other people. But in his mind, she was his wife.
