Bryce's body heat engulfs me as his lips move close enough to brush my sensitive earlobe. "We never got a chance to talk," he whispers.

He's right. Our talk was interrupted by the million things left to do before tonight's battle. "I don't really think there's much to talk about."

"You're wrong. See, in the eyes of my pack we're married. I haven't even gotten around to properly consummating our nuptials, and you already want to divorce me." His hand closes around my throat as he sucks my earlobe into his warm mouth.

"We aren't married by vampire rules, so this marriage doesn't apply to me."

"Yes, but you're in my house, so I say we play by my rules." The rough stubble on his jaw scrapes along my ear, sending a million threads of pure liquid desire weaving through me.
