"It's open. Come on in," a male voice yelled.
Switching the box to her left hip, Lauren opened the door and walked in but stopped mid-step when she saw Cole sitting at the conference room table looking more amazing than usual. He hadn't looked up from the paper he was reading to notice her standing there. So she could look her full for a couple of minutes without him catching her.
A lock of his dark hair had fallen across his forehead making him sexier than he already was. The black shirt he was wearing had two buttons opened at the throat displaying a hint of chest hair she found so damn appealing. Cole had even rolled up his shirt to show off the light dusting of hairs on his arms. She let herself wondered for a few minutes what it would be like to strip Cole's clothing off of him and have her way with him.
The fantasy continued for a few more minutes before Lauren let it die away. It wouldn't do her any good to not live in reality when it came to Cole. He was the kind of man who could break her heart again if she let him and she wasn't about to do that.
"I know I must be in the wrong place because Mr. Cole Brady isn't trying to pretend he's working," she teased placing the box on the table in front of Cole at the same time his head snapped up.
