Description: Saphira Morgan has had a very tough year. Her husband has cheated on her with his secretary. Her only comfort is her hobby, which is painting. Ransom Morgan doesn't know why his wife is becoming more and more distant toward him. He is running for Mayor. He wants his wife back! Ransom purchased Rousseau Manor for his wife because of the paintings of the faeries inside the house. While Saphira enjoys painting the faeries it also helps her forget the envelopes full of pictures of his affair. One evening at the manor, Saphira is attacked by an escaped convict. The faeries help her escape by bringing the two into the world in which they've been trapped for years by the owner of the house, Vincent Rousseau. Ransom goes to the manor when Saphira doesn't come home. He, too, is taken into the faeries' room. Saphira is convinced she is in a dream and wants to wake up. There are all sorts of creatures and beings in this world, but somewhere in the back of Saphira's mind, they seem familiar. Inside this world is also the jealous mistress, a pack of horny satyrs, and a murderous madman--and nothing will be the same again.

The dream was vague in Ransom's mind, as vague as it had always been in the time when he had been with Saphira. He had spent that entire year out-of-his-mind drunk. Meeting Saphira by the pond in the woods had changed all that. She became the focus of his world; the simple acts involved in pleasing her and giving her all the things she wanted and needed had brought him all the success that he had thought Vincent and his influential friends would bring him.
The world flickered again and the surrounding forest danced for the storm, tree limbs ripping from their bases and flying about, enslaved to the fury of the storm. Lightening crashed and thunder rolled across the jet-black sky. Rain fell in a torrent and black clouds drifted over the moon, obscuring its pale light.
Inky ropes of blackness extended from the walls in whip-like fashion and fastened around the clothed leg of the Goblin King. Another such rope of darkness lashed out at Ransom. It did not want him to possess him though, only to touch him. Its embrace was a cold caress, sliding over his face, caressing his chin with intimate delight.
