Trish smiled at Tucker, that knowing smile a woman gives when she understands just how much her touch can affect a man. Her voice wrapped itself around him like the shadows that drifted in from the lights along the river. His fingers caressed her cheek and rose to push a lock of hair disturbed in the melee behind her ear. Her eyes, so bright and yet sad, held him as her face turned up to his, her breath warm on his lips. His arms slid around her waist and pulled her close.

She made it all very easy. Her body molded itself to his. He could feel the tips of her breasts hardening against his ribcage. His heart was tap-dancing inside his chest. Then she licked his ear.
