Bio: David M. Mannes is a former teacher and an educational writer/ film producer/director. He was nominated in 1990 for best non-dramatic script in the Alberta Motion Picture Industry Association (A.M.P.I.A.) awards  for his script Writing-on-Stone  featuring actor Leslie Neilson which he co-produced for Alberta Parks. Gone (a Reptilian World novel) was published as an e-book by RSPublishing 2006.  His novel Nahanni was published in 2007(Saga Books). A short story Shadows is available on Amazon shorts. He is currently working on a new science fiction/adventure novel. Mr. Mannes is married and lives in Edmonton, Alberta.

  Ogopogo...Canada has several mythical sea monsters perhaps cousins to the infamous 'Nessie'. In Kelowna, British Columbia at the city park on the lake is a cartoon like sculpture of Ogopogo. But the creature was known to local native tribes as far back as the early 18th century, and there are a number of recorded historical accounts.
