Johnston is a television journalist and producer with the CTV network in Toronto.  He has worked as a news cameraman, actor, newspaper and magazine writer, and his career has taken him to many parts of the world.  Swordsinger is T. L. Johnston's first novel.  He lives with his wife and two children in Toronto.
