Bio: Hi, I'm Michelle and I am forty-five million years old (give or take a few million years). Even though I suffer from advanced age, I still feel and act like a teenager. Probably because I don't have any kids. My husband and I decided early on in our relationship that we would be the kids. We take out our parenting needs on our two cats, who don't seem to mind the extra attention.
I never intended to be a writer. In fact, I avoided taking any writing classes all throughout school. But alas, to get my acting degree, I had to take a dreaded writing course. Horrors! So I took a playwriting class and discovered something I never knew about writing. That it had less to do with form and everything to do with imagination. Then I was hooked. Since then, I've written over twenty novels, many short stories, plays and monologues.
As I dedicated myself to writing novels, I soon realized that I was drawn to romances. Only problem was, almost every romance novel I wrote ended up with a spanking scene in it. Which, as you know, is a big no-no in fiction today. But since I hadn't come to terms with my 'super secret scary predilection,' I edited out the scenes and continued on. Finally, I realized that repressing my desires didn't make them go away. And that repressing them was stupid. So I began to wander the Internet to see if I was really as weird as I thought I was. Surprise, surprise, there was a whole world of spanking out there! Then I happened upon disciplineanddesire.com and loved what I read. So, on a whim, I sent them a few of my stories and lo and behold, they liked them! I was so excited!
In my spare time (what is that, anyway?), I try to keep the hummingbird feeders full (or Bumming Birds as my husband calls them), try to keep my plants alive (about fifty-fifty), watch old movies on TCM (mainly noir), listen to ear-shredding metal music (Metallica, Sevendust and Disturbed are faves) and play with my Gameboy (mainly Solitaire and Gin Rummy). I've been married for 17 million years (only seems like 4 million) and I NEVER exaggerate (still, it's a good idea to divide all quoted numbers by a million or so). My favorite hobbies are swearing, gasping for breath as I hike the TALL mountains around the redwood forest where I live, forming words with my burps (I ALWAYS apologize right afterwards), tossing banana slugs off my plants (also called giving slugs flying lessons) and dying my hair colors not found in nature (I love California!). Oh, and I also spend far too much time with my family who all live near me (Mom has hated my hair for years but has finally given up all hope of me being normal).
