Susan M. Brooks
Alert me when new Susan M. Brooks titles are added

Bio: Susan Brooks quit college in her first semester on the day of finals, having had enough of that experience. She took a traveling sales job that would lead her on a two-year-long roadtrip around the US twice. While on the road, she met and married her now-ex-husband, got pregnant and spent her entire pregnancy traveling from city to city, sometimes staying as little as a day. When it was time for her to deliver, ?we induced labor so I could catch up to the road crew and keep on moving!? After two years, she stopped traveling, divorced her husband and became another single mom trying to make ends meet. She went to work for several magazines in the LA area and started climbing her way up from editorial assistant to editor to writer. She published a ?zine for teen girls (Realgirls) from 1995-98, and started her own publishing company, which she shut down in 2006. Now she?s a part-time photographer, and she still works for the man.

1 She's the Girl
by Susan M. Brooks
Natalie loves love and hates relationships. Having never been surprised with a thousand daisies on her doorstep or a proposal written among the clouds, she set off on an impulsive 3,000-mile trip to Ruune, North Dakota, to reunite with her childhood sweetheart. On the way, she encounters a strange and eclectic collection of people who deconstruct and rebuild her entire romantic belief system, as she learns the hard way that love is never what it appears to be.
