Cheryl Swanson
Alert me when new Cheryl Swanson titles are added

Bio: CHERYL SWANSON penned her debut novel, Death Game, when her life took a turbulent turn with a diagnosis of breast cancer. The author of three non-fiction books and an expert in esoteric technologies, including remote surgical and image manipulation systems, Swanson had just turned fifty when she found the lump in her breast. At that time, another great challenge was staring her in the face--adopting a daughter from a third-world country. Instead of backing away from the twin challenges, she changed careers and started writing a novel, while continuing to pursue her objective of adopting a child from Guatemala. A year of cancer treatment later, her novel was almost complete and her prognosis had improved to the point where it was feasible to travel to Guatemala.

"It's a new phase of my life. It's not always easy, but it's impossible to wallow in self-pity, when you have a four-year-old running around the house. Journeys are never in straight lines; your pathway has many curves and stops. The important thing is not to give up, but to turn and find another path."

Hard at work on the sequel to Death Game, and always close enough to give her daughter a hug, she is taking her own advice.
