Bio: Thomas Root was raised in the Little Neck-Douglaston area of New York. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from St. John's University with a B.A. in Philosophy, and later from the St. John's University School of Law. Following his schooling he was associated with two mid-town Manhattan law firms before starting his own law practice in Douglaston, New York. In 1995 he moved to Hollywood, Florida, where he currently resides. "The Elixir" is his first novel.
