Bio: George Harrar lives in Wayland, Massachusetts with his wife, a documentary film maker, and a teenage son. In 1998 he won the first Carson McCullers Prize for the short story from Story magazine, and his piece has been chosen from the 1999 edition of The Best American Short Stories. His short fiction has appeared in the New Press Literary Quarterly, Side Show Anthology, Eclectic Literary Forum, Quarter After Eight and American Way. He recently began writing fiction full time after working for many years as a freelance journalist for publications such as The New York Times, Forbes, ASAP and The Boston Globe.
