Theodore Sturgeon

Bio: Theodore Sturgeon was born Edward Hamilton Waldo on February 26, 1918, in Staten Island, New York. The author of many acclaimed science fiction stories and novels, Sturgeon won several awards, including the International Fantasy Award for his novel More Than Human and both the Hugo and Nebula awards for his short story "Slow Sculpture." Sturgeon died on May 8, 1985, and was posthumously awarded the Life Achievement Award at the World Fantasy Awards.
